Jannet Gutiérrez: Technology Assessments and Continuous Improvement at METRICA Chile

Digital transformation requires understanding how an organization works, what its teams need, and where improvement opportunities exist. Before defining the next technology investment or initiative, organizations need to analyze their processes and connect operational needs with business objectives.

At METRICA, this perspective shapes the work of professionals like Jannet Gutiérrez, Project Manager at METRICA Chile. As part of our “Meet the People Behind METRICA” initiative, we’re highlighting her career and her contribution to technology assessment projects for laboratories.

An Industrial Engineering Background Focused on Efficiency

Born in Lima, Peru, Jannet developed an interest early in her career in understanding how organizations operate and finding ways to make their processes more efficient.

She studied Industrial Engineering at Universidad Católica Santo Toribio de Mogrovejo (USAT), building a foundation connected to process analysis, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement.

That focus has remained a consistent part of her professional development, from her early laboratory experience to her current work on technology transformation projects.

Five Years of Process Optimization Experience

Jannet began her career as an intern at SGS Peru, where she spent five years working in laboratories with the World Class Services program.

During that time, she contributed to process optimization initiatives, developed an analytical approach, and learned the importance of combining operational efficiency with business needs.

This experience is particularly relevant to digital transformation in laboratories. Understanding existing processes and their challenges helps ground technology discussions in day-to-day operational realities.

Joining METRICA Chile

Jannet joined METRICA in 2025 through a professional referral. After five years of continuous improvement experience, the move opened a new chapter, allowing her to expand her knowledge and shift her career toward technology transformation.

Her background connects two complementary areas: understanding business processes and analyzing the opportunities technology can offer to improve them.

Technology Assessments to Shape Digital Transformation Roadmaps

Today, as Project Manager at METRICA Chile, Jannet leads and coordinates technology assessment projects focused on evaluating the current state of laboratories.

A technology assessment helps establish a starting point for digital transformation. Within these projects, her work focuses on analyzing processes and identifying gaps and improvement opportunities that can inform a digital transformation roadmap.

This approach keeps technology discussions focused on each laboratory’s needs. Rather than simply considering new tools, it starts with understanding what needs to evolve and how to approach that change from a business perspective.

Project Management and Commitment Tracking

In addition to coordinating technology assessments, Jannet is responsible for monitoring and controlling other projects. She tracks timelines, progress, and commitments agreed upon with clients and project teams.

This work provides visibility into project status and supports coordination among the people involved.

At METRICA, we believe digital transformation is built by connecting business knowledge, technology capabilities, and talent. Professionals like Jannet Gutiérrez contribute to that connection through experience that brings together continuous improvement, process analysis, and project management.

Because moving technology forward also means understanding how organizations work—and where they can keep improving. 💙
