Discover how her work in certifications, and carbon footprint measurement helps drive more responsible and sustainable technology.

Sustainability, regulatory compliance, and management systems are becoming increasingly important in building responsible, efficient organizations that are ready to meet new business challenges. At METRICA, technology and innovation go hand in hand with this commitment, thanks to specialized professionals who help integrate these principles into everything we do.

As part of our “Meet the People Behind METRICA” initiative, we introduce Ainhoa García, IMS Specialist & Compliance Officer, whose career has been closely connected to environmental protection, management systems, compliance, and corporate sustainability.

A Career Driven by Environmental Protection and Sustainability

Born in Torrejón de Ardoz, Spain, Ainhoa developed a strong interest in environmental protection and caring for the planet from an early age.

This passion also shaped her education. She earned an Advanced Diploma in Forest and Environmental Management before continuing her studies in Environmental Sciences at the Autonomous University of Madrid.

Her career began as a forestry technician and later evolved into areas such as management systems and waste documentation management. This path allowed her to apply her environmental expertise to new areas related to business management, regulatory requirements, and continuous improvement.

Joining METRICA

Ainhoa joined METRICA in 2023 to support the maintenance of the company’s management systems. Since then, her responsibilities have evolved and expanded into strategic areas such as compliance, certifications, and sustainability.

Today, she works as an IMS Specialist & Compliance Officer, helping ensure that our processes remain aligned with both the standards included in our management system and applicable legal and regulatory requirements.

Her work includes maintaining the five standards that make up METRICA’s Integrated Management System, as well as contributing to processes aimed at obtaining and maintaining certifications.

Carbon Footprint, Compliance, and Continuous Improvement

Another key area of Ainhoa’s work is calculating METRICA’s carbon footprint using the GHG Protocol, a widely recognized international standard for measuring and managing organizational greenhouse gas emissions.

This work allows us to better understand and monitor the environmental impact associated with our business activities while helping strengthen the integration of sustainability criteria throughout the organization.

In addition, her role as Compliance Officer focuses on helping METRICA remain aligned with current regulations and promoting a corporate culture built around compliance and best practices.

She also contributes to training initiatives and certification processes, helping embed these principles across different areas of the company.

Technology and Sustainability: Moving Forward Responsibly

Digital transformation is not only about adopting new technologies. It also means building organizations that can innovate while embracing responsibility, efficiency, compliance, and continuous improvement.

At METRICA, we believe that combining talent, technology, and sustainability enables us to evolve and provide better service to our clients every day. Professionals like Ainhoa García help bring this cross-functional vision into the way we work and grow.

Because transforming and innovating in the IT industry also means doing it responsibly. 💙
