At METRICA, we believe that promoting health and well-being should be a core part of our company culture. That’s why, this past Sunday, a team made up of colleagues, along with family and friends, took part in the 12th edition of the “Madrid en Marcha Contra el Cáncer” race — a solidarity event organized by the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC).
This race is not only one of the most important fundraising events on Madrid’s calendar, but also a powerful opportunity to unite in the fight against a disease that affects millions of people around the world.
A Route of Solidarity
More than 27,000 people gathered in central Madrid to run or walk in support of cancer research and prevention. The day kicked off and ended in Plaza de Colón, with two routes available — a 4K and a 10K — both running along the iconic Paseo de la Castellana.
From early in the morning, the city was filled with a vibrant sea of green shirts symbolizing support for the cause. Among them were METRICA’s participants, once again showing that our company is about more than just technology — we are people who care deeply about our community.
