A race with purpose: supporting pediatric research
Last Sunday, a group of professionals from METRICA Madrid participated in the 13th “Run for the Child” Charity Race, one of Madrid’s most recognized solidarity events. Organized by the Foundation for Biomedical Research of the Niño Jesús University Children’s Hospital in collaboration with A.D. MAPOMA, the race brought together nearly 7,000 runners united by a common goal: to promote pediatric research and encourage healthy lifestyles.
The event featured three race options designed for all fitness levels:
- 10 km
- 5 km
- 2 km family run
All proceeds are donated to pediatric research projects focused on improving the quality of life for children with serious illnesses. Since its inception, the initiative has raised over one million euros, consolidating its position as a key contributor to child health research.
CARE MONTH: a commitment to health and well-being
METRICA’s participation is part of its internal initiative, CARE MONTH, a month dedicated to strengthening the company’s commitment to health, well-being, and corporate social responsibility (CSR).
Through these types of initiatives, METRICA fosters a people-centered corporate culture, viewing sports as a powerful tool for well-being, team spirit, and shared purpose.
Inspiring values: closeness, humanity, and collaboration
At METRICA, we sincerely thank everyone who represented our company during the race. Their enthusiasm and involvement reflect our core values:
- Closeness to people and community.
- Humanity in every action.
- Flexibility to adapt and collaborate.
- Proactivity to drive positive change.
We also shared a short video on our social media channels highlighting some of the best moments from this solidarity event—a true reflection of the energy, unity, and commitment that define METRICA’s spirit.
Running together toward a healthier future
